Laura Horner | City of Bloomington

Laura Horner manages the City of Bloomington’s residential solid waste collection program and helps to carry out the city’s strategic priority of health in the environment through the creation of services, programs and policies that divert and reduce waste. She recently led the development of the City’s re-structured Bulky Item Management Program. Bloomington was honored with the Sustainable City Award by the League of MN Cities for the new program. She currently serves as the Chair of the Minnesota Association of Recycling Managers and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Policy and Management from the University of Minnesota. Laura has been working in the field for 11 years and is passionate about protecting our environment and reducing waste. She is also a firm believer in the importance of collaboration to get things done!
