Jim Birmingham | Carton Council
Jim Birmingham has over 50 years of experience in the private and public sector waste reduction and recycling industry, spending 30 years in high-grade paper for the Pelz Group and Recycle America and commodity development for the plastic division. Jim has developed and implemented recycling training programs in paper, plastic , and construction and demolition recycling. Jim is currently the owner of Birmingham Recycling and is the Midwest coordinator for Carton Council of North America. Jim has served on the Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin Board and appointed by Governor Scott Walker to the Council on Recycling. Jim has also served as Greendale, WI Village Trustee 1997-2015, and elected to Village President 2015-2021. In February 2024, Jim was awarded the Christy Dixon Recycler of the Year award by the Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin.
