To advance the practice of environmentally and economically sound management of municipal solid waste in North America.
The Land of Lakes Chapter of SWANA is a leading authority on solid waste related issues affecting the industry. Members represent nearly all sectors of the integrated solid waste system. This includes government and private, recycling, compost, waste to energy, landfill operators, consultants, engineers, and legislative and regulatory experts.
We are a growing organization dedicated to developing leadership and promoting professionalism, respect and credibility for solid waste management in the state of Minnesota and within the national SWANA organization. SWANA is the oldest, largest and most well-respected professional organization in the solid waste field. The association represents some 8,200 solid waste professionals nationwide.
